Renville-Sibley’s 86th Annual Meeting was scheduled to be held on Tuesday, March 26th at Redwood Area Community Center in Redwood Falls. However, due to inclement weather, the meeting was re-scheduled for Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Renville-Sibley Cooperative Power Association’s headquarters in Danube. The guest speaker was Ryan Breitbach, owner of Breitbach Construction. Ryan gave a presentation on our new facility and talked through the processes of designing and construction of Renville-Sibley’s new building. Wayland Zaske, the Secretary/Treasurer of the Board, reviewed the results of the 2023 Financial Audit. CEO DeeAnne Norris highlighted the grand opening of Renville-Sibley’s new building and Open House and Dedication Ceremony. The event highlighted the cooperative’s commitment to its members and the community and thanked those that had a helping hand in making the project a reality.

Information on the district elections was presented by Director Whitey Hinderman.

Directors Helen Ruebel and Director Vicky Firle presented the scholarship awards selected by the committee. They were as follows:

$1,000 Basin Electric – Lauren Dolezal

$1,000 Renville-Sibley sponsored scholarship – Briana Roche

The Scholarship Committee also elected to select five additional $1,000 scholarships from the remaining applicants funded by unclaimed capital credits that are over seven years old. They were as follows:

Andrew Revier

Directors elected to serve a 3-year term were as follows:
